The tourism industry uses souvenirs as commemorative merchandise associated with a location.The gift shops are overloaded with cheap, low-quality items that not only encourages tourists to buy more, but also affect the entire cultural landscape of that specific place. 


Remember Italy is part of a bigger photographic on-going project documenting the souvenir shops in the most visited Western European countries. 

Project published in Visual Catalysts book and exhibited in Kultturitalo Laikku, Tampere, Finland as interactive installation. All postcards are organic and everyone can take one home.
